“Your loneliness is not a brand of shame, but a mark of integrity.” Thank you, Kate, for putting to words what many exiles feel.

Thanks for sharing these beautiful words, friend. The encouragement is a balm to the soul. Know that you’re not alone either. Sometimes being exiled means being welcomed into uninhibited truth.

Kate, thank you for sharing your heart, pain, and encouragement! Experiencing betrayal as a child in the church (as you well know) has left me unable to trust many church communities to adulthood, though my faith in Christ lives on. I am so sorry you have experienced this. And in the midst of the pain, God has you in his love. If you want to talk or catch up, please reach out! Happy Christmas and blessed new year! Praying God brings you into a community that is rooted in His truth and authentic love.

Sweet Joannah, so lovely to meet you here. Thank you for following! I know you understand that pain. It is so complex to have deep faith, and simultaneously feel that trust in community is difficult. I am grateful for your support and understanding. I would love to connect some time! Merry Christmas and wishing you a very happy and healthy New Year! ✨🎊💖
